Ghana Plays As Guests To Ivory Coast Today In CHAN Qualifiers

 The Home-based Black Stars will play as guests today to Ivory Coast at the Stade Robert Champroux in Abidjan in the return encounter of the CHAN qualifiers.

The first leg which was hosted by Ghana at the Babayara Stadium over a fortnight in Kumasi saw the Ghanaians beating their Ivoirian counterparts by 2-1 in an uncompromising game which saw the visitors score first before Asokwa Deportivo’s hit-man Joel Fameyeh scored a brace to clinch victory for the home-based Black Stars.

The Ghanaian contingent which is made up 18-players, members of the Management and Technical team, arrived in Abidjan on Wednesday morning and got an opportunity to train for the first time at Friday's match venue.

In their bid to gain victory over Ghana, the Ivorian authorities have announced free entry for fans who will be at the stadium aside the cash bonuses to the "Elephants". But a relentless Ghanaian side led by coach Maxwell Konadu are hopeful of securing a positive result which will see them book a fourth appearance at the CHAN tournament to be staged in Rwanda in January.
