Founder of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor has argued strongly against claims of a bloated register by minors stating children only go and register because they just need a voters' register to receive monies from relatives abroad.

Taking her turn at the second hearing of the stakeholder's forum over the voters' register, Akuua Donkor charged the Electoral Commission to disregard all claims to open a new electoral roll stating it was just a waste of time and resource.
Furthering her argument on whether or not a new voters' register was justified, Akua Donkor explained now was not the suitable time for the Electoral Commission to consider such move and that the current register was too young a register to be changed.

Meanwhile the Electoral commission has warned that opening a new voters' register was bound to spark chaos in the country arguing that considering the entrenched positions by the NDC and NPP could spark tensions in the country should the EC consider opening a new voters register.
