Power Crisis To End By Close Of December, Power Minister Assures

Power Minister, Dr. Kwabena Donkor has revealed that the ongoing power crisis befallen Ghana is expected to end by the end of December 2015.

Making the revelation at a sod cutting ceremony of a Ghanaian-owned power distribution firm, Enclave Power Company, the confident minister assured that several infrastructural operations made gives the clearest indication that Ghana and the government for that matter was on the course of meeting the December deadline.

Meanwhile, Dr Kwabena Donkor has indicated that Ghanaians are bound to pay more for electricity in the wake of the power shortage as he reveals the Akosombo Dam stays highly unreliable.

Meanwhile, the first emergency power barge from Turkey expected to add some 225 megawatts of power to the national electricity grid has set sail for Ghana and thus is expected to set sail before the month ends.
