The 2015 edition of the annual reality TV beauty contest, Miss Malaika ended over the weekend with Kuukua Korsah, a 22-year old graduate from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology winning the crowntook home the crown, a brand new KIA Rio car, cash, scholarship and other prizes, but she wasn't the only one in the spotlight during the finals.
Some of Ghana's brightest stars also made stylish appearances on the night. Here is Yen.com.gh's style report on what the stars wore.
Actress, radio and TV personality, Naa Ashorkor who was the main host of the finals made her first set of appearances in a colourful african-print jacket over a glittering black skirt. Her neckline looked too busy, almost as if she was suffocating.
She later changed into a peacockish red gown with a little less neck detailing than the former. So what do you think, hits or misses?
GhOne host, Berla Mundi who was also co-host for the finals had a quiet evening, mostly interviewing sponsors for the show. She however got on stage for a spot and we finally got to see her dress fully. She wore a colourful African print gown with golden chain extensions hanging from the shoulders. The dress looked a bit long and boring, not doing much justice to her stunning body.
'Fishnets' seemed to be in vogue for Mzvee and Eazzy, as both singers performed in black fishnet stockings.
Dancehall artist, Stonebwoy looked all 'swagged up' in a stylish black and white striped shirt accessorised with a pair of ‘mismatching’ black boots. He wore customised version of Kanye West’s Yeezy Boost 350 – a trendy version from a designer known as Stefan, who created the boots when Kanye West announced he would run for president in 2020. From the Boost-encapsulated outsole to the Primeknit side panels, Stefan painted “Kanye” on the right shoe and “2020” on the left to show his support.
