Arsenal In Munich To Salvage Their Survival In The Champions League

Another round of the champions league matches is here after a two week break. It is a crucial week especially for the top teams from the English Premier League (Arsenal and Chelsea) as they risk elimination if they lose their matches.

Arsenal and Chelsea risk being knocked out of the competition if they lose their matches against teams from Germany, Russia and Ukraine.

Manchester United and Manchester City are in action on Tuesday night against CSKA Moscow and Seville respectively as they seek to qualify for the next round of the competition.

Manchester United drew 1-1 a fortnight ago with the Russian side and have collected four points from their three matches. They sit second, two points behind Wolfsburg.

Manchester City have collected six points from their three matches and sit second in Group D, a point behind leaders Juventus.

Arsenal and Chelsea are in action on Wednesday, November 4, as both teams from London face the risk of being knocked out.

The gunners are away to Germany as they face in form Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena. Wenger’s side stunned many when they hammered Pep Guardiola’s boys 2-0 a fortnight ago at the Emirates.

Their survival is guaranteed if they repeat the same feat. Bayern have, however, said that they will attack Arsenal with verve to revenge on the defeat they were inflicted with.

Out of form Chelsea welcome Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev to Stamford Bridge. Jose Mourinho is under fire to turn things around after the Blues endured their worst start to the premier season in their history.

Chelsea has lost a record 6 games since the beginning of the season and is in danger of being relegated if things do not turn around.

Their latest humiliation came over the last weekend when they lost at home to Liverpool after taking the lead in the 4th minute.

Mourinho could be sacked if things do not change amid rumours that there is a player revolt towards the Portuguese tactician.
