We Must Encourage Low Utility Tarrifs Rather Than High Ones, Tsatsu Tsikata Charges PURC

Former head of the Ghana National Petroleum Commission (GNPC), Tsatsu Tsikata has charged the Public Utility and Regulatory Commission to insist on lower tariffs rather that higher ones.

Tsatsu Tsikata, making these comments at the National Investments Forum further charged Ghanaians to consider the efficiency in power distribution rather than focusing on the ownership base of distribution companies.

Meanwhile, the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) has expressed its displeasure over the proposed tariff increases. In a statement issued by the Association, argues the PURC has no basis for the increment of the utility hikes.
