Admit Students Or Lose Your Jobs - Education Ministry Warns Heads Of SHS

The Ministry of Education has warned that it is bent on sacking all heads of schools across various Senior High Schools (SHS) who decide not to grant admissions to prospective students.

The warning follows the incident of 200 prospective students who were denied admissions to the Wesley Girls Senior High School on Wednesday following reasons by the school authorities that they (the students) had not their names on the placement list.

Public Relations Officer for the Education Ministry, Francis Gbadago minced no words when he revealed on CITI FM in Accra that all school heads who failed to admit eligible students will be sacked with immediate effect.

The 2015 placement of prospective students is feared to have been marred by various technical hitches and inconsistencies - a development which has negatively impacted the academic calendar of most Senior High Schools.
