Supporters of suspended Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Paul Afoko have gathered at the premises of party's headquarters demanding for Paul Afoko to be reinstated as head of the party following his suspension by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party.
Besieging the party headquarters in their numbers, supporters say the suspension of Paul Afoko is illegal, thus their request for his immediate reinstatement. The police in the meantime are at the party headquarters to ensure calm.
The decision by NEC over the suspension of Paul Afoko followed a unanimous vote to suspend him indefinitely thus upholding the overwhelming decision by the Disciplinary Committee which decided that Mr Afoko be suspended.

A court in Accra further dismissed the case against the indefinite suspension of New Patriotic Party (NPP) national chairman Paul Afoko. According to the court the plaintiff, Mr. Oppong Kyekyeku could not prove he was an agent of Paul Afoko and also did not prove his interest in the matter.
