Barely a week after his arrival in Ghana, captain of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan has granted media interviews talking about his few months with his new club in China.
In one of such interviews with TV3 news, Asamoah Gyan, noted that he is struggling to adjust to the Shanghai SPG style of play. He admitted that he joined the new team with injury but he is optimistic the next season would be better.
Asamoah joined the Chinese team some four months ago on a two-year deal. He is paid 350, 000 dollars a week in wages, making him the sixth richest footballer in the world.
Asamoah Gyan’s earnings comes at the heels of world stars Lionel Messi (£313,461.00), Cristiano Ronaldo (£288,000.00), Wayne Rooney (£285,000.00), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (£275,000.00) and (Gareth Bale £256,000.00) with Yaya Toure just coming in at number 7.
The others are Sergio Agüero -(£220,000.00),David de Gea (£200,000.00), Bastian Schweinsteiger (£200,000.00). These make up the top 10 richest football players.
