A former member of the Kotoko board, Kabral-Blay Amihere has vehemently kicked against the potential appointment of Sammy Kuffuor as ‘President’ of the club, stating he lacks the requisite know-how to lead the Kumasi based club.
There was a wide circulation of news that Kuffour had been asked to lead Kotoko but his appointment has reportedly been delayed after he went ahead to publicly confirm his appointment even before the life patron and owner Otumfuo Osei Tutu II made it official.

Recent developments still points to the fact that the ex-Ghana international will be handed the job in the not too-distant future, but a former board member and chairman of the National Media Commission, Kabral-Blay Amihere has kicked against his appointment, claiming Sammy Kuffour lacked the requisite managerial skills to lead the Ghanaian club, just like current general manager Samuel Opoku Nti.
The mandate of the current administration has expired and the Ashanti monarch is expected to determine the club’s future by appointing a new management team.
