Six Member Committee Set Up To Investigate Starbow Crash

The Deputy Transport Minister, Ms Joyce A. Bawa Mogtari has inaugurated a six-member committee to investigate the accident of domestic airliner Starbow, which overshot the runway and crash-landed at the Tamale Airport on October 6, 2015.

Inaugurating the committee in Accra Friday, Ms Bawa said, the committee has been given 30 working days to produce its preliminary report.

The committee is chaired by Air Commodore Kwame Mamphey. The other five include Mr Ellis Hugh-Tamakloe, Mr Emmanuel N. Quao, Mr Kenneth Kwawukume, Group Captain Adu Gyamfi and Wing Commander Mike Ayensu.

On October 6, this year, Starbow's BA aircraft with registration 9GSBB crash-landed at the Tamale Airport. The front tyres of the plane broke into the cockpit.
