Government Compensates Family Of Samuel Nuamah With GHȻ 93,000

Family of the late Samuel Nuamah, journalist who died in a presidential press corps assignment on August 20 have been presented with a compensation and support package worth GHȻ 93,000 by government.

Making to presentation to the family, President John Dramani Mahama at the Presidential Lounge of the Accra International Conference Center revealed the offer represented a token aimed at reducing the economic burden on the dependants of Samuel Nuamah.

In the meantime, President Mahama has assured that the relevant officials expediting action on the accident report are up to the task indicating that the family would be duly informed about any available insurance payments.

The package consists of Ȼ50,000 into the endowment fund set up for his little son, 5,000 dollars (Ȼ18,500) for his wife, Lillian, Ȼ20,000 for his mother and father and Ȼ5,000 for his family.
