Funeral arrangements for the late Sam Sarpong has been slated for November 21,2015, at Shepherd Church in Porter Ranch, Calif.
After the funeral service, people will gather at Burial Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills.
In a statement obtained by E! News, the Sarpong family thanked everyone for their well wishes and wrote how much they’re struggling to grapple with their loss.
To allow all friends, fans and family can pay their respects to the fallen star; the family has opted for a public funeral. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations that will help and hopes to meet those who have contacted his family to hear their “ideas to keep Sam’s memory alive.”
The statement further noted that “we would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to each and every one of you who have reached out to us during this incredibly difficult time,” the statement reads.
Sam, 40, died after jumping off a bridge in Pasadena, Calif. According to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner, he died after jumping off a bridge in Pasadena. The office said the cause of his death is ruled a suicide, while an autopsy is pending.
“It is with great sadness that the family of Samuel “Sam” Sarpong, Jr. must share the news that Sam has passed away,” his agent said Oct. 28.
Sarpong made his onscreen debut when he was just 11-years-old in an episode of My So-Called Life. He later became one of Wilmer Valderrama’s many co-hosts on Yo Momma, a show that saw the stars traveling the U.S. to find the best trash-talkers.
