Former first lady and founder of the National Democratic Party, Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings has formally declared her dissociation with the incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC) stating she is no more thinking about the party due to her focus on her new party, the National Democratic Party (NDP).
Speaking in an interview with Daily Guide in the Volta Regional capital, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings intimated the reasons for her decision.
Meanwhile, Konadu Rawlings has expressed worry over the nature politics in Ghana.
Nana Konadu, who had earlier reportedly denied claims that she is the founder of the NDP, noted that her party is poised for the 2016 elections, despite claims that it is dying. She urged all party members to remain resolute and keep to the game plan to take over power in 2016.
