Beleaguered Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho looks set to overhaul his misfiring squad come the January transfer window, according to the Metro.
Chelsea currently, seem to have lost the plot to successfully defend the league trophy this season and are the worst defending champions in the history of the top-flight, having lost seven games already.
With intense pressure mounting on ‘the Special one’ daily, reports have suggested that Mourinho has spoken with owner Roman Abramovich and persuaded him to offer him the opportunity to stay into the transfer window.
It is being reported that Mourinho has a conviction to farm out the troublemakers and get Chelsea moving in the right direction again.
A number of Chelsea’s high-profile players have been underperforming this season, with the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Eden Hazard, Nemanja Matic, Diego Costa, Branislav Ivanovic and Oscar all having failed to impress Blues fans and board alike.
Names like Carlo Ancelotti, Guus Hiddink, Diego Simeone, Ronald Koeman and Pep Guardiola have all been linked to Jose’s job as he reels under pressure, but it is believed he will stay on the job.
The Chelsea fans want the Special One to stay, and if the reports are correct, he'll be given the chance to turn things around.
