Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and Leicester City’s strike Vardy have been awarded for their exceptional characters that ensured their respective teams trump in the month of October.
Wenger was crowned the coach of the month whereas Vardy bagged the same award but in the players category.
The England international has scored 12 goals in the 2015/2016 English Premier League (EPL) season. His scoring prowess has seen him being the current EPL top scorer after 12 league matches.
Vardy’s accurate shots in front of goal has made him one of the outstanding players and also inspired his side, currently Leicester City to third with 25 points.
He has an advantage of five goals above Idion Ighalo of Watford, Romelu Lukaku and Riyard Mahrez in premier league scoring chat.
Vardy is the third Leicester City player to win a Premier League player of the month award.
Other winners are: Muzzy Izzet and Tim Flowers.
On the other hand, Wenger’s superb coaching style has made him one of the best tacticians during the month of October. He has led his side to the second spot in the EPL table with inferior goal difference.
The award is the 15th for Wenger who joined EPL side in 1996. He is the second manager behind former United legend Sir Alex Fergusson who grabbed the award for 27 times.
The award was introduced in 1994. The German international Jurgen Klinsmann clinched the inaugural accolade.
Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is the most outstanding player to bag the player category for a record of six awards.
