The Premier league’s title sponsors, First Capital Plus Bank has suspended its contract with the Ghana Football Association according to reports.
The Ghanaian bank reportedly paid US$ 10 million in February last year, to sponsor the nation’s top flight league for five years.
However, after only two seasons into the five year mandatory period, the bank has decided to freeze their sponsorship due to what they term as “restructuring”.
He assuredly said the Executive Committee was yet to meet and discuss the subject and even hinted that if there were legal issues flowing from the bank’s decision his outfit will take it up and let the general public hear about it
The top-flight has not had it smooth sailing when it comes to sponsorship as its previous sponsors, Glo mobile network also gave way to First Capital Plus over alleged contractual disagreements.
