Nana Ama Anamoah and her family have begun the final burial rites for her late father with a service at the Christ the King Catholic Church on Saturday morning, November 14. The former TV3 host and news anchor was supported by the former president of the republic, Jerry John Rawlings as well as her former co-hosts on the New Day - Sandra Ankobiah, Benny Blanco, Ama K Abebrese and Martin Asiedu-Dartey.
Nana Aba Anamoah revealed the death of her father to the public in the heat of her recent attacks and criticisms on Twitter, for passing off photos from a Manchester United game as her own. The popular Tv3 presenter in several tweets came out to apologise to her fans, friends and especially the photo owners, explaining her action as a prank.
In one of her tweets, Nana Aba explained that her silence on the alleged photo theft was because she was in London mourning her father who had passed away 2 weeks earlier. She wrote: “Should I have explained earlier? Yes. But I was mourning the loss of my dad in London at the same time. He died 2 weeks ago”
Nana Aba was suspended for her actions on Twitter which eventually led to her resignation from TV3. It is currently not clear where she will be heading to, although rumours have it that she would be joining UTV or GhOne.
