I Hate Being Compared To Lampard - Gerrard

Former England internationals Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard were two world class midfielders who played alike albeit in slightly different roles for Liverpool and Chelsea respectively.

The two men led their former club teams to numerous trophies at club level but always had trouble replicating their scintillating form at international level.

Gerrard however has still been compared to his former rival and ally. He told the Mirror UK, that he and Lampard are still being compared and receiving criticism for not being able to gel together for England.

Gerrard gave an insight to differences between living in England and America.

Gerrard left Liverpool for the LA Galaxy in the MLS in the summer of 2014 while Lampard left Chelsea for New York City in the MLS in 2013 but spent one season on loan at Manchester City.
