Barcelona player Neymar could be forced to leave Camp Nou, if his tax evasion case is not resolved, according to the player's father.
A Brazilian court has reportedly frozen £31.3million worth of assets belonging to the 23-year Neymar, his family and related businesses, while he is alleged to have evaded £10.5m worth of taxes in Brazil for three years, 2011 to 2013.
The impressive Brazilian forward is having a good campaign this season and has scored 13 goals in 14 appearances for his club. This revelation by Neymar Snr, his father might not go down well with the board at Camp Nou more especially when they know they need the player more than ever taking into consideration his rich vein of form this term.
According to Neymar’s father, the player’s future at Camp Nou could be jeopardised by the ongoing investigations as they seek the his peace of mind and protect his image.
Neymar has three years remaining on his contract with Barcelona but has been linked with a move to Premier League sides with Manchester United a likely destination.
