Ghana’s Black Stars could face one of Nigeria, Cameroun or Ivory Coast in the group phase of the 2018 FIFA world cup qualifiers.
If the FIFA ranking are put into consideration, Nigeria could find herself in pot 3 of the qualifiers. The Super Eagles are ranked 57th in the world which means they could be drawn in the same pot as Egypt (57), Mali (63), Uganda (68) and Zambia (71).

Pot one will include the top five teams: Cote d’Ivoire (22), Algeria (26), Ghana (30), Cape Verde (32) and Senegal (39).
Pot two will include the next five teams: Tunisia (41), Cameroon (51), Congo Brazzaville (52), Guinea (53) and DR Congo (55). Pot four will then include: Gabon (73), South Africa (75), Morocco (79), Burkina Faso (93) and Libya (113).
The Black Stars defeated Comoros 2 – 0 in Kumasi during the second leg of the 2018 FIFA world cup qualifier after playing a goalless draw in the first leg played in the Comoros Islands.
Ghana will now be included in the group phase of the qualifiers which includes five groups of four teams each with the overall group winners qualifying for the World Cup in Russia in 2018.
