Students Of Survey And Marketing Fight Against Sale Of School Land For Shopping Mall

Students of the Ghana School of Survey and Mapping in Accra are protesting over what they describe as the unfair sale of their school land by officials of the Lands Commission as they argue such a sale had the potential of depriving them of their land and school buildings.

The sale of the school lands, which is expected to see the construction of a shopping mall, is feared to see classroom blocks completely demolished  - a development which has even seen workers of the school petition against such an action.

Meanwhile school authorities have expressed disappointment in the decision by government to sell the school land as they argue, the lot of the student was not considered by the Lands Commission. The students are therefore calling on government to come to their aid.
