A 64-year old woman reported to be the wife of a Greece diplomat died on Wednesday November 19, 2015 after she jumped from a building’s fifth floor in Nyali, Mombasa in Kenya.
According to Daily Nation’s Daniel Nyassy, Frances Lagoussis who was the wife to Greece ambassador Panayis Lagoussis plunged to her death at 8.45am shortly after she was dropped by a driver at the building.
The outlet reports that the woman had attempted to throw herself from the fifth floor in vain twice in October, 2015.
Witnesses said the woman had said her business was doing poorly.
Lagoussis did not comment about the incident.
Earlier this week, Abdul Rasul, a 57-year-old licensed gun holder is said to have been undergoing counselling and neigbours said he has been having mental problems since breaking up with his wife in 2013. Abdul is said to have told his watchman to tell intruders in his body to leave immediately after which he took out his gun and committed suicide by shooting himself in the head, dying instantly.

In Kenya, mental illness is attributed to poverty, drug and alcohol abuse, stress among other environmental factors.
