Every football fan in the world would be delighted if Barcelona super star Neymar were to hand his match-worn shirt to him.
However, referee Jose Hernando Buitrago, the match official who refereed Brazil versus Peru earlier this week snubbed the forward’s offer after the final whistle.
After the game in which Brazil won 3-0, Neymar approached the referee and offered him his shirt but he refused and shook his head with the incident coming at the heels of the el classico.
Referee Buitrago will have been critically accused had he accepted the shirt and many think he was best off refusing the offer.
Neymar kept his cool and was never unruffled by the referee’s refusal.
Neymar has been in good form and many fans think he’s trailing Ronaldo closely as second-best player in the world.
With Lionel Messi unlikely to be fit enough to start against Real Madrid, Luis Enrique will once again be looking to Neymar and Suarez to provide the firepower for Barcelona in order to secure all three points.
