Parliamentary aspirant for the Ningo Prampram constituency on the NDC ticket, Sam George stands the risk of being punished by the party.
According to the Greater Accra Regional chairman [Ade Coker] of the party Mr. George’s behaviour during Saturday’s primaries was unacceptable.
Claims by Mr. George that his name and about 3000 others were removed from the register triggered unrest and violence in the constituency.
This led to the postponement of polls in the area after a meeting between the Electoral Officers there, NDC officials and the two contestants.
But Mr. Coker described Sam George’s attitude and behaviour as “infantile”.
The Regional Chairman said Sam George would be invited and shown evidence of his name being captured by the register.
After that has been proven to him, Mr. Coker said the aspirant would be referred to the disciplinary committee of the party.
"Disciplinary action would be taken against him if found to have caused the commotion there following his ‘false alarm,” he indicated.
