NDC Primaries: Voting Officially Ends, Counting Of Ballot Papers Begins

Voting has officially ended across all constituencies nationwide in the NDC presidential and parliamentary primaries which has so far been marred by voter register irregularities.

Over two million party members were expected to endorse the candidature of sitting president John Dramani Mahama after standing unopposed to lead the party in the 2016 general elections.

Counting is underway across several constituencies as specific polling arrears have been eared to postpone the elections. In the Ashanti region for instance, voting in eight constituencies was postponed to tomorrow, Sunday, November 22, 2015, due to shortage of electoral materials. They are Bosomtwi, New Edubiase, Subin, Atwima Nwabiagye North, Manhyia South, Asante Akim North, Afram Plains North, and Obuasi East.Meanwhile the Ghana Police Service has officially declared the  elections generally peaceful.
