NDC Primaries: Radio Gold's Alhassan Suhuyini Wins Tamale North NDC Seat

Media personality at Accra based Radio Gold, Alhassan Suhuyini has polled 3,433 voters representing 44.69% making him the winner in the Tamale North NDC primaries.

He polled 3,433 votes representing 44.69% while the three-time incumbent MP, Abukari Sumani, secured 1,069 votes representing 13.92% of the votes cast. The rest are: Nabila Mohammed Alhaji – 38 votes  (0.49%) Mohammed Abdul-Salam – 2,313 votes (30.11%) Abdallah Mohammed Mahama – 158 votes  (2.06%) Dr. Abdulai Baba Salifu – 141 votes (1.84%) Mohammed Kamal-Deen Alhassan – 405 (5.27%)

Suhuyini joins other media practitioners as Kwame Dzokoto ahead of the 2016 parliamentary candidates.

The NDC primaries has so far been marred by scores of voter register irregularities as thousands of card bearing members had not their names in the register – developments which emanated to scores of violence and bickering.
