NDC 2015 Primaries: Ningo Prampram Battle Comes Off Today

The Ningo Prampram constituency ‘battle’ continues today as veteran Parliamentarian, E.T Mensah comes face-to-face with his onetime apprentice, sam George in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries.

Some constituencies were marred by chaos and violence on Saturday following allegations of missing names in the voters’ register by Sam George.

“… Over 3,000 names have been deleted…even me as a candidate my name has been taken out, I’m told,” Mr. George told Accra based Citi FM.

But an official statement from the governing NDC said the “In Greater Accra, only one constituency was suspended and they will have their right to vote on Sunday and that is Ningo Prampram,” NDC National organiser, Kofi Adams said.

Meanwhile primaries will also come off today, Sunday November 22 in the remaining constituencies that could vote yesterday.Elections will also take place in 11 constituencies in the Ashanti region stronghold of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
