Asamoah Gyan Fulfills Pledge To Black Queens
Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan on Monday fulfilled a promise he made to the senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, by presenting $30,000 cash to the team for winning gold at the 2015 All Africa Games in Congo Brazzaville.

The Shanghai SIPG striker had earlier donated $10,000 to the Queens to aid their preparations for the competition when the Black Stars travelled to Congo for a friendly match.

The brief ceremony held at the GFA Secretariat, saw Nana Benyin Ayison, a member of the Emergency Committee of the GFA received the cheque on behalf of the Black Queens.

Gyan disclosed the cash prize at his 30th birthday party on Saturday November 21, at his plush mansion in Accra.

Mr. Eyison, after receiving the donation expressed appreciation to Asamoah Gyan for the kind gesture.

He described Gyan as “god-sent” to the ladies, who have opted to adopt a profession that pays little by way of gains for women in Ghana.
