Champions League Action Returns

The Champions League action will kick-off on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 Arsenal, Man U and Chelsea square-out to qualify for the last 16 rounds of the most coveted club-tournament in the world.

A total of 16 matches will be played between Tuesday and Wednesday. Teams in Group E-F will start the two-day sporty-midweek  action when they lock horns while for Group A-D will wait till the following day.

Arsenal may drop in the Group stages of Champions League for the first time after 15 years when they take  on Dinamo Zagreb in a must win clash.

The Gunners are at the bottom of the Group with three points while league leaders Bayern Munich and Olympiakos who will square out at Allianz Arena top the group. The two teams have nine points but Bayern with superior goal differences.

Arsenal must win when they host Dinamo Zagreb and hope one of the top teams will drop points to increase it’s chances of qualifying for the knock-out stage.

2013/2014 English Premier League (EPL) Manchester City need to beat Juventus in their Group top teams battle to automatically qualify for the next round.

Man City are at the summit of the group with nine points followed by Juventus with eight points. The EPL side suffered a major loss in the hands of the Italians in the first round and will hope to stage a comeback.

Manchester United on the other hand will be out to qualify for the last 16-round after missing out for almost three-seasons. The Louis Van Gaal side just need a win against PSV Eindhoven. Man tops the Group but with two matches to go, any team can qualify. United have seven points, followed by PSV Eindhoven -six  points, Wolfsburg – six points and CSKA Moscow with four.

Chelsea will be out against Maccabi Tel Aviv and a win will increase their points tally to 10 as Group leaders with 10 points Porto FC invite Dynamo Kyiv.
