Uncle Ebo Whyte has disclosed that his new play “Puppeteers is to serve as a caution for the many who hold top positions in Ghana.
He added that, the idea is to teach them to be vigilant and watch out for people who want to use them to appear bad in the eyes of others.
Briefing the media about his upcoming play, the playwright and director noted that Ghana is blessed with good people but the people they attract when they get power are the cause of their change in behavior.
“The big men get to the top with good intentions but power and the people they attract are those who make them who they are. I believe that there are some people who are just waiting to use others’ position to champion their course,” he said.
According to Uncle Ebo as he is affectionately called, his new play Puppeteers is a play that will open the minds of those who hold top positions and enlighten them to be vigilant and watch out for people who will in one way or the other want to make them look bad in the eyes of the public.
The puppeteers revolves around Moses, a character who wakes up in his new town with a refreshed purpose: to patch up with his ex-wife. Little did he know that he’d just walked into his worst nightmare that would threaten his career, his Integrity and the love of the only woman he’s ever loved.
The Puppeteers comes off this weekend and the weekend after at the national theatre.
