The twelve suspects who have been arrested and implicated for raiding the New Patriotic Party (NPP) head office Monday dawn have been granted bail of GHC 10,000 with two sureties.
The group were also made to sign a bond of good behaviour.
The 12 appeared in court very relaxed waiting for proceedings to begin. Earlier reports say they were sent by the NPP’s suspended national chairman, Paul Afoko.
But Mr. Afoko in a statement disassociated himself from the act, saying: “ I havelearnt with dismay the incidents at the party headquarters, and on the party's parliamentary candidate for the Klottey Korley Constituency, Nii Noi Nortey.”
Some persons believed to be wearing military uniforms and using military vehicles reportedly stormed the NPP’s head office on Monday dawn, where they allegedly made away with a hard drive and other documents.
