Power Barge Arrives In Ghana On Saturday, November 28

Media reports do indicate the first emergency 225 MW power barge from Turkey will be arriving on Saturday November 28, 2015, delays which has been related to the  documentation and routine checks at  the Abidjan port in the Ivory Coast.

The barge is thus expected to dock at the Tema port at around 8:00 am GMT after which President John Dramani Mahama will formally inaugurate and inspect the power barge.

When completed the power plant will generate additional 250 MW into the National Interconnected Transmission System (NITS).

Ghana's erratic power supply is feared to have caused the nation a great deal of loss considering the huge losses accrued by several businesses and the subsequent layoffs in that regard.
