The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) is pointing accusing fingers at President Mahama and his NDC government for organising a raid of the party's head office in Accra Monday dawn.
The NPP made the accusations in a press conference in Accra, Friday; according to the party, their assertion is based on their own investigations and on eyewitness account.
They also allege that some sensitive and vital documents relating to the review of the voters' register and some documents on the NPP's strategy for the 2016 elections were all taken away during the raid.
They further opined that some members within the army collaborate with the president to undertake the raid at the party's Asylum Down headquarters.
Communications Director of the NPP, Nana Akomea in an interview with Joy FM said, there was official complicity in the incident. "... We believe that if government were not involved the reaction would have been different."
"If there wasn't official complicity in all of these none of this will ever happen," he alleged.
