Jon Benjamin Insists Ghana Is Still A Corrupt State

British High Commissioner to Ghana, Jon Benjamin has lamented the high levels of corruption in the country stating government has still not tackled the menace head on - a situation which he claims need an open discussion on ways to bring under control the cancer and further finding steps in rooting it out of the system.

Raising concerns over the recent corruption expose by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, the British High Commissioner revealed the need for there to be a full investigation into the judicial scandal.

The high level of corruption in Ghana is feared to have dented the image of the West African country before the eyes of foreign investors as research from anti-graft organisation, Transparency International maintains the cancer still remains deep rooted in every setting of Ghanaian culture and also most likely to become worse as the 2016 general elections approaches.
