Veteran Music Group Donate To Support Korle-Bu

Veteran gospel group, Yaw Sarpong and Asomafo has donated provisions and toiletries to patients at The Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

The group, together with its management presented the goods which included Gh 10,000 cash, bags of rice, boxes of tin tomatoes, gallons of oil, cartons of milo and  cartons of milk after they hosted a concert at the facility, to generate funds for the sick few months ago.

Mustapha Salifu, the PRO of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital who accepted the goods on behalf of the hospital thanked the group for fulfilling their promise when they hosted the concert at the hospital in September this year.

 Mr. Salifu said the money will be the initial capital for a new fund the hospital has created to repair its machines. He continued that the food items will be sent to the kitchen of the hospital for patients to benefit from them. He then called on corporate bodies to also come to their aid.

Yaw Sarpong in presenting the items said he promised God to embark on this project when he fell sick for two years. He said he promised God to also help the sick after he is treated successfully so in fulfilling his word, he will be visiting hospitals to make such donations from time to time.

Yaw Sarpong added that another concert will be held in December for inmates at Nsawam prison.

In a related development, Yaw Sarpong granted and interview with Celebrity TV detailing about how he fell sick and got saved.
