Samini Reveals How He Has Always Looked Out For Shatta’s Interest

Ghanaian Afro-Dancehall artiste Samini has revealed that he wanted telecommunication company MTN to sign his musical rival Shatta Wale.

According to Samini he has always seen Shatta Wale as a great artiste and he took him along almost every opportunity that came his way at that time.

Speaking on Peace FM’s “Entertainment Review”, he expressed bitter sentiments about Shatta Wale whom he regarded as a brother and he was willing to share any little opportunity with, would come back and spread fabricated stories about him.

Asked if he mentioned Shatta Wale’s name Samini revealed “Well you say that, because at that time his name was Bandana and Ghanaian remember when I touring Ghana in 2004 I went everywhere with him, he was on the bill”, he noted. Revealing how he first met Bandana now Shatta Wale, Samini said he first met Bandana through Obour, current president of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA).

“He was Obour’s kid I heard him in the studio, when I was going to feature on Obour’s song and I told Obour that guy was good and Obour said he was he kid. So when I was doing my tour I called Obour to bring his kid on board”.

Samini also revealed that he had wanted to ignore all Shatta Wale said about him, until he (Shatta) insulted his mother, added that his mother suffered high blood pressure because of that. He challenged Shatta Wale, to speak the truth and reverse the negative things he said about him, he posited. Samini said he heard Shatta Wale apologizing on several media platforms but he would only be cool with him if he apologizes for insulting his mother.

In a related development, Samini has revealed he has never smoked with Shatta Wale before as Shatta claimed in the past. The multiple hit factory talking to Peace FM about his  beef  with the Dancehall act noted that  “As far as I'm concerned the genre that we are into, you are allowed to throw shots at other people for attention and get shots thrown back so you can trend. So when it's Dancehall and someone throws shots at you it's normal, it happens in Hip Hop too”

He cautioned  that in doing that one has to be constructive and sensitive and know that there is always a limit when throwing the shot. Also, if it's not a planned beef becareful of how hard you go when attacking the other person because they might just take it personally.

I wouldn't know how he will describe it but to the best of my knowledge; he started it, and he released a lot of underground songs targeted at me and many of the things he said about me were fabricated.

"That's why I came on this platform and said he should come for us to sit and talk about the issues one by one because there were statements like me telling show promoters not to put his name on bills when I can swear that I have never done that.

Samini in his interview ever denied sitting and smoking with Shatta Wale before, adding that these are things Shatta Wale says just to make things interesting.
