Police,Military Deployed To Enforce Peace At Bunkprungu Following Days Of Gunshots And Bloodshed

Personnel from the elite units service of the Ghana Police have been deployed to restore calm at Bunkprungu in the Northern Region, following renewed tribal and ethic violence there which has claimed lives and property.

Police authorities reveal the contingents deployed from the Counter–Terrorism and the Formed Police units of the service have firm instructions to stabilize the situation and maintain law and order as a joint team of the Police and Military personnel get on the ground bringing the situation under control.

Meanwhile, the police has warned against any form of violence stating perpetrators will have to avoid being arrested and prosecuted for flouting the laws of the land.

The renewed fighting is feared to have cost the lives of two persons with over nine houses reported to have been burnt down.
