A survey conducted by GeoPoll, one of the largest provider of audience measurement data in Africa has revealed that Metro TV is the least watched television station in Ghana placing last on the list at number nine, with an audience share of 4.8 percent.
According to the report which takes a detailed look in audience share across all television networks in Ghana in the third quarter of 2015 spanning from July to September 2015, UTV emerged the most watched TV station leading with an audience share of 22.4% over the three months followed by TV3 scoring 20.3%.
The latest report by Geopoll gives authorities of Metro TV grave concern concern considering the challenges involved in network coverage, clarity and choice of programming. The recent massive exit of staff from the station also gives much cause to worry as it is projected avid supporters are most likely to switch channels chasing for their most loved on-air personalities.
In the meantime, Joy News is expected to see a massive come-back following the recent inclusion of ace on-air personality Nana Aba Anamoah from TV3 who is believed to use her charm and media prescence to woo the highest audience for the Multimedia family of Joy News and Joy FM
