Patoranking Reveals He Is A Big Fan Of Sarkodie

Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer, Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie better known by his stage name Patoranking, says he is in search of a woman with a good character for a relationship.

Speaking about his love life, Patoranking revealed that he is single and embarking on a search for the right person. Though, he is not in a rush to settle for anything below his standards, he states that charater should be the distinguishing factor between the person he will eventually settle for and other women he meets.

Speaking in an interview with Berla Mundi and Sammy Forson, the songwriter noted  “I am single and searching, I mean Patoranking is single and searching, “he said.

“I am single yes but I am looking for someone who goes beyond the physical look. I want someone with a good character. I am not moved by just anything, I want something that will last long. I mean if I attend a fashion show, I will meet ladies who are more beautiful than my woman and so it is your character that will distinguish you from the others,” he said.

He added that, he will not settle with someone he is in the same business with, but would prefer his partner to be from a different world though chemistry and compatibility between them is paramount to him.

Patoranking  in that same interview revealed that he became a fan  of Sarkodie that  he wanted to sign Ghanaian artiste some  years ago. His love for the rapper was after following the ‘Mewu’ rapper’s exploits  and listening to Sarkodie spits bars on Edem’s ‘You Dey Craze’ made him a fan.

“I wanted to sign Sarkodie for 6 months. I wanted us to do an inter-state tour in Nigeria.”

On why that intent never materialized to reality, your guess could be as good as mine

It is believed that the 2011 street anthem is one of the songs that catapulted Sarkodie into mainstream appreciation.

Patoranking, who is a descent of Ebonyi, started his musical career doing underground collaborations with artists such as XProject, Konga, Slam and Reggie Rockstone.

He signed a record deal with K-Solo’s Igberaga Records in 2010, releasing “Up in D Club” under the outfit. Patoranking became a protégé of Dem Mama Records after collaborating with Timaya on his song “Alubarika”.

In February 2014, he signed a record deal with Foston Musik and released “Girlie O”, a single that put him in the limelight. On 9 February 2015, Patoranking announced via Instagram that he signed a distribution deal with VP Records.
