The Bureau of National Investigation (BNI) swooped on four men believed to be Lebanese nationals at the Kotoka International Airport on Monday for a case involving forgery.
The police could only give the name of one person as Ishmael Yahyah, as they bore different names in their French passports.
The four were subsequently arraigned before an Accra circuit court which was presided over by Aboagye Tandoh yesterday and were remanded into BNI custody until December 14, 2015.
The four persons had their plea turned down by the court because only one of them could understand the English language. The trial judge therefore requested for an Arabic interpreter to assist the accused persons to appreciate the charges for which they had been hauled before the court.
Meanwhile the court has upheld the request of the culprits to be allowed to communicate with their relatives and therefore asked the prosecution, led by DSP Idan Dery, to facilitate the communication.
