Franck Ribery has found himself at the wrong side of the law again; this time embroiled in yet another prostitution scandal, five years after the infamous Zahia affair which prompted worldwide condemnation at the time.
The Bayern Munich star was however lucky to be cleared of all wrongdoing by the French courts in November 2014.
The French player has been recalled for questioning following fresh reports of a new scandal, with the French anti- prostitution brigade (BRP) summoning Ribery in this time following reports of his involvement in an international prostitution scandal, which reportedly involves an underage escort.
Ribery reportedly paid a friend to bring 10 escorts to a late night party in Paris, France and handed him an envelope with €15,000 to bring in the high class escorts to the said event.
However, the friend in question allegedly handed each escort €500, and kept €10,000 for himself. It was when the said girls got wind of this that made them decide to speak to the media after missing out on what they were actually owed.
What made the already controversial matter worse is that, an underage aged 17 –year-old prostitute was involved in the night in question.
Ribery was therefore called in for questioning following these fresh allegations, but was subsequently released on the evening of the 26th of November 2015.
The BRP are still continuing with investigations having already subjected the player to an extensive questioning.
This is yet another incident that could add to French football, given the recent terror attacks at the Stade de France last month and Karim Benzema's ongoing sex scandal involving compatriot Mathieu Valbuena.
