Investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has gone undercover in Nigeria to unveil the illegal trade in the sale of babies there.
The investigation, which falls as the third season of Al Jazeera's award-winning show - Africa Investigates- is entitled Nigeria's Baby Farmers and further reveals the shocking ways of how new born babies are been sold for between $4000 to $5000 each based on their sizes.
In the unveiling piece, Anas and his colleague, Nwaebuni pose as a couple who have been unable to have a child in 12 years of marriage, and who are now being pressured to divorce by his parents.
The investigative piece also exposes the unethical medical practise by Akinbode Damilola, a so-called miracle doctor who operates from a pharmacy in Delta State offering bogus fertility treatments.
