EC Boss To Meet Parliament Over 2016 Elections

The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Charlotte Osei is expected to meet Parliament on Thursday, December 10 in a closed door meeting over preparations being made by the EC ahead of the 2016 general elections.The Majority Leader Alban Bagbin, said this when he presented the Business Statement of Parliament for next week. Also scheduled to meet parliament are officials of the National Development plan Commission.The discussion is expected to be bothered on issues related to the voters register and electoral reforms as the 2016 election approaches.

Meanwhile head of the Electoral Commission, Charlotte Osei has revealed compiling a new voters’ register stays a recipe to disaster arguing that considering the entrenched positions by the NDC and NPP could spark tensions in the country should the EC consider opening a new voters register.
