Harmattan To Get Worse, Senior Meteorologist Warns

Senior Meteorologist at the Ghana Meterological Agency, Tetteh Portuphy has revealed that Ghanaians in the Southern belt (Greater Accra, Volta, Ashanti) should brace themselves for a more severe harmattan stating the current harmattan is just its first outset. 

He said the recent rains some parts of the country experienced, was a clearing out the last remnants of moisture that were left in the atmosphere to pave the way for the dry season stating the Northern part of the country was already in the harmattan season.

The severe harmattan season is expected to disrupt all forms of transportation in the country considering the poor visibility is brings during the end of year. In the meantime, vehicular drivers have been advised to stick to using fog lights just so they prevented any form of accident on the roads.
