One thousand five hundred delegates of the People’s National Convention (PNC) have converge on the Jubilee Park in Wa, the Upper West regional capital to elect a flag bearer for the party for the 2016 general election.
Also to be elected at the Seventh National Delegates Congress of the party are the National Chairman and his Vice, General Secretary, National Organiser, National Treasurer, National Women’s Organiser and National Youth Organiser.
Meanwhile a presidential candidate aspirant of the Peoples National Convention (PNC), Hassan Ayariga has been accused of engaging in vote buying at the party’s national delegates congress.
He failed in 2012 to win the presidential elections on the ticket of the PNC. Mr. Ayariga is alleged have shared freebies to delegates in a bid to convince them to re-elect him as the party’s flag bearer for the 2016 election.
He is said to have distributed items such as mobile phones, cash amounts, motorcycles among others.
