An 18-year old young man has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the death of a marketing officer of Vodafone Ghana.
The suspect, Abdul Razak Ibrahim was part of a gang that robbed and killed the deceased, Mr Ebo Panford-Quainoo, 30, leaving his wife traumatised.
According to the Accra Regional Police Commander, COP Dr George Akuffo-Dampare another suspect is on the run. He however, assured the public that the police have sufficient information on the other accomplice.
“We will put all our resources at work to get him arrested.”
Speaking at a press briefing in Accra COP Akuffo-Dampare said the police made the arrest following a tip off from some of the robbery items which were sold.
On November 11, at about 1:30 a.m. two unidentified armed robbers, said to be wielding pump-action gun, shot dead a marketing officer of Vodafone Ghana, Mr Ebo Panford-Quainoo at his residence at Sakumono.
The police investigations reveal that the deceased was hit by a bullet while the robbers fired indiscriminately into the windows of his bedroom.
The robbers managed to take an amount of GH¢150 from the deceased’s wife, mobile phones, lap tops and other electronic gadgets.
