All Schools In LA Shut Down After Terrorist Threats

All schools in Los Angeles have been closed down as a matter of urgency following what officials say is an unspecified threat which got emailed to the school district earlier today - a development which has seen the second largest school system in the US comprising over 600,000 pupils completely shut down.

The city's police commissioner, William Bratton, confirmed that an emailed threat which remains under investigations came from overseas, purporting to be from extremist forces.

The terrorist threat follows the killing of about 14 people by a radicalised Muslim couple in San Bernardino. In the meantime, investigations are reported to be ongoing.
