Real Madrid boss, Rafa Benitez’s control over the dressing room at the Barnebeau seem to be weakening week-in-week out as Gareth Bale jumps into the already murkier situation.
The rumours of player revolt at Real Madrid per Spanish media reports seem to becoming more and more prevalent. Ronaldo and James Rodriguez have both already despised Benitez and now Bale has reignited the issue.
The latest report is that the Welshman openly snubbed the Spanish gaffer in the full glare of cameras when Rafa decided to play him at left-back in their 1-0 defeat at the hands of Villareal.
Bale was not too enthused to have Jese play ahead of him at the left flank and continued to play upfront. He looked unconcerned and hardly put in any effort to come to the aid of his defenders as spelt out in his assigned role.
Benitez’s Madrid days look numbered despite the open support from Florentino Perez, with the media likely to go to town over these fresh happenings.
The former Liverpool manager has got quite a herculean task ahead of him with pressure mounting on him to win not only the players over, but also the dispirited Madrid supporters too with his style of management.
In the match itself, Villarreal recorded a famous 1-0 win at home to Real Madrid in the Spanish Primera Division after a solitary strike from a Roberto Soldado strike which leaves Madrid five points behind Barcelona and Atletico Madrid at the top.
