The AMERI Job I Did Was To Save The President – Ibrahim Mahama

Ibrahim Mahama, the CEO of Engineers and Planners(E&P), has stated that his interest in the reclaiming of land at Aboadze for the building of the AMERI power plant was mainly to save his brother from the expected criticisms that would have come from the general public, especially the opposition NPP.

Many fear the scandalous AMERIPower might have been purposely inflated in pricing for the turbines, and the vilifications would not end there as the NPP have also fingered Ibrahim Mahama of being a beneficiary of the alleged outrageous deal.

However, Ibrahim categorically denied the accusation by the NPP that he is a beneficiary to the shady deal. He stated that E&P have no contract with Ameri but rather the Power ministry.  “We have contract with Ministry of Power to reclaim land and let them build a plant on the land,” Ibrahim said.

He also stated that his outfit has become better informed lately that they can also apply to be an Independent Power Producer (IPP), once they qualify to handle such jobs and therefore were bracing themselves up for it.
